Authentically Bougie Return & Refund Policy
At Authentically Bougie, we want you to feel confident, beautiful, and completely YOU in your purchase. Because many of our items are shipped directly from our trusted supplier partners, our return process may look a little different from a traditional retail store.
Please read our policy carefully before making your purchase.
💛 Returns
We accept returns on eligible items within 7 days of delivery.
The 7-day return window begins on the date your tracking information shows your order was delivered. If your order arrives in multiple packages, the return window begins when the final package is delivered.
To be eligible for a return, merchandise must be:
- Unworn
- Unwashed
- Free from stains, makeup, deodorant, perfume, pet hair, smoke, or other odors
- In its original condition
- Have all original tags attached
- Returned in the original clear garment packaging with the SKU label when applicable
Items that do not meet these requirements may be denied for return or may be subject to a restocking fee.
📦 How to Start a Return
Please DO NOT mail your return to the address shown on your original package.
Because Authentically Bougie works with dropshipping and fulfillment partners, returns must be authorized first so we can provide you with the correct return address and instructions.
To request a return:
- Contact Authentically Bougie within 7 days of delivery.
- Include your name, order number, item(s) you would like to return, and reason for the return.
- If the item arrived damaged, defective, or incorrect, please include clear photos of the item and packaging.
- Wait for your return authorization and return instructions.
- Once approved, ship your return according to the instructions provided.
Do not send a return without authorization. Unauthorized returns or items mailed to the wrong address may not be eligible for a refund.
Once your return request is approved, your package must be shipped back within the timeframe provided in your return instructions.
🚫 Final Sale — No Returns or Refunds
For hygiene, safety, and supplier restrictions, the following items are FINAL SALE:
- Swimwear
- Bodysuits
- Intimates and lingerie
- Jewelry
- Face masks
- Beauty products
- Gift cards
- Items specifically marked FINAL SALE on the product listing
- Clearance items specifically marked FINAL SALE
Final-sale merchandise cannot be returned, exchanged, or refunded unless the item arrives damaged, defective, or you receive an incorrect item.
Please double-check sizing, colors, descriptions, and product details before purchasing a final-sale item.
💕 Exchanges
At this time, we do not offer direct exchanges.
If you need a different size, color, or style, you may return an eligible item according to our return policy and place a new order for the item you would like.
This helps us process your request faster since many Authentically Bougie items are shipped directly from our fulfillment partners.
💳 Refunds
Once your return has been received, inspected, and approved, your refund will be issued to your original method of payment.
Please allow approximately 5–7 business days after the return reaches the fulfillment facility for it to be inspected and processed. Your bank or credit card company may require additional time for the refund to appear on your account.
Original shipping and handling charges are non-refundable.
📮 Who Pays for Return Shipping?
For standard returns such as:
- Wrong size ordered
- Changed your mind
- Don't like the fit
- Don't like the color or style
- Ordered the wrong item
The customer is responsible for return shipping costs.
If you received an item that is:
- Damaged
- Defective
- Incorrect
- The result of a fulfillment/shipping error
Please contact us immediately with photos so we can make it right. When the return is due to an approved shipping error or damaged item, you will not be responsible for the return shipping cost.
📸 Damaged, Defective, or Incorrect Items
We carefully select our suppliers, but occasionally mistakes can happen.
If your order arrives damaged, defective, or incorrect, please contact us within 7 days of delivery and include:
- Your order number
- A description of the issue
- Clear photos showing the problem
- A photo of the product packaging/label when requested
Please do not throw away the product or its packaging until your claim has been resolved.
❌ Order Cancellations
We begin processing orders quickly.
If you need to cancel an order, please contact us as soon as possible. We will do our best to cancel it, but cancellation is not guaranteed once an order has entered processing or has shipped.
If we are unable to cancel your order, you may request a return after receiving it as long as the item qualifies under our return policy.
📦 Dropshipping & Multiple Packages
Some Authentically Bougie products are fulfilled and shipped directly by our trusted supplier partners. Because of this:
- Your order may arrive in more than one package.
- Packages may arrive on different days.
- Return addresses may be different depending on the item.
- The return address may be different from the address on your shipping label.
Always contact Authentically Bougie before mailing a return.
We will provide the appropriate instructions for your specific order.
⚠️ Refused & Unauthorized Returns
Please do not refuse a package or send merchandise back without contacting us first.
Returns sent without authorization, returned to an incorrect address, returned outside the approved timeframe, or returned without required packaging/tags may be denied or subject to applicable restocking fees.
